The
Northland Antique Radio Club
2011 ANNUAL MEETING & SWAP MEET
The Northland Antique Radio Club will be holding its 25th annual meeting and election of officers at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park at noon on Sunday September 18, 2011. All NARC members are invited to attend.
Like in past years, the meeting will be preceded by an old radio swap meet outside in the museum parking lot. The meeting starts at noon inside the museum with Steve Raymer providing the president's recap of the events of the past year. Greg Farmer will announce election results and Jim Thompson will recap of how the event went in May.
The same people are running for the club offices as last year since no one else has been nominated. Steve Raymer is nominated for club president, Alan Jesperson for vice president, Greg Farmer for secretary, and Mary Farmer for treasurer. The term of office will be October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.
The program will include our traditional "Finds of the Summer" display. NARC members are encouraged to bring in new additions to their collections acquired over the summer. It will be interesting and fun to see and hear what other radio club attendees lucked upon at garage sales, flea markets, estate sales or family hand-me-downs. Prizes will be given for the most popular items.
Remember this event is FREE for all current and renewing members. Also, don't forget to come a little early to check out the outdoor swap meet in the museum parking lot! It usually is going strong by 10am and winds down by 11 or 11:30. It's free to sell and there are always some good deals available.
See you there!
