2000 FALL SWAP MEET
9 AM - Saturday November 4, 2000

With the pressure of the impending presidential election looming just around the corner, what better way to take a break than to attend the annual NARC Fall Swap Meet. This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday November 4th, 2000, and will once again be held at the St. Croix Lutheran High School located at 1200 Oakdale Avenue, in West St. Paul, Minesota.

The doors will open for seller setup beginning at 8:00 am. Only those individuals who are selling will be admitted at this time, with no sales allowed until 9:00 am. The seller's charge will once again be $10.00 per table for current NARC members, while non-members will be charged $25.00 for the first table and $10.00 per table thereafter. Non-members who are selling will receive, in addition to their table space, a one year membership in NARC.

NOTE: Sellers will have to carry their items a short distance to the swap meet area, so bring a hand truck or small cart if you have anything heavy. The school requests that you please use extra care not to mark the floors with your hand cart and please bring a covering for your table as not to scratch it.

Those NARC members who are not selling and the general public will be admitted at 9:00 am with the meet scheduled to be open until 12:30 pm. Admission for current members is free, the admission charge for all others will be $1.00. If you haven’t had an opportunity to renew your annual membership or join the club, this would be an excellent time to do so, membership forms will be available at the registration desk.

With the success of the recently added radio raffle at Radio Daze, the NARC Staff has elected to try it at the Fall Meet as well this year. This year's raffle will be featuring a very nice original Freshman Products cathedral radio. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1.00 each at the registration desk. The drawing will be held at approximately 11:45 am and the winner must be present at the time of the drawing.

The "Silent Auction" will be once again be featured at this year’s event. Items for the silent auction will be accepted from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with the auction closing promptly at noon. The rules will be the same as last year. The club will provide the auction forms, all financial transactions take place between the buyer and seller. All items up for bid are being sold 'as is', with sellers allowed to specify a minimum bid and types of payment accepted (cash or check) for successful bids. Any questions regarding the silent auction should be directed towards a club officer.

To round out the day's activities, the club will be holding a 50/50 raffle. Complimentary coffee, pop, and snacks will be provided, along with hot dogs being sold for a nominal charge later in the morning.

We'll see you in November!!
