NARC FALL INDOOR SWAP MEET REPORT
Saturday November 3, 2012
St. Croix Lutheran High School
1200 Oakdale Avenue, West St. Paul, Minnesota
It was another great swap meet at St. Croix Luther High School! The year's second largest event was held November 3rd, a chilly day, but it didn't cool our enthusiasm for selling radios and mingling with our NARC friends.
|
The room quickly filled with people and radios, and lots of merchandise changed hands. Activity was very busy for the first hour. There was a large variety of radio-related items for sale, including a good quantity of very nice items straight out of two long-time collections. Theirs were probably the busiest tables and offered some great advertising pieces, Atwater Kent breadboard radios, bakelite radios, cathedral radios, rare books, and lots more.
|
The event ran smoothly thanks to those who helped. Mary was in charge of registration and quickly processed everyone through, and Kim and Lynn Wagar brought the coffee, donuts and soft drinks. The light lunch of hot dogs, chips, a cookie and a pop offered later in the morning was very popular with the crowd, as usual.

Possibly even more enjoyable than buying radios was getting the chance to visit with our collector friends. By noon, the buzz was dying down as sellers were packing up, and by 1pm it was over until next year.
