The Northland Antique Radio Club
WORKSHOP AND OUTDOOR MINI-SWAP MEET
Sunday February 16, 2014
Pavek Museum of Broadcasting
3517 Raleigh Avenue, St. Louis Park, Minnesota
The workshop is a free event for museum sponsors and Northland Antique Radio Club members, and we always get a big crowd. It is a favorite event for many, and is always very enjoyable. Weather permitting, there will be trunk sales outside in the parking lot before the workshop, so if you have any old radio equipment to sell, bring it along! The museum will open its doors at 11 a.m., an hour before the workshop begins. This hour is a great time to explore the museum, check out the surplus items for sale in the back room, visit with fellow collectors, and munch on some light snacks. But please, no snacks in the museum main room! The workshop starts at noon and will probably last about 2 hours.
Steve Raymer has been working overtime to get presentations ready. He likes to have some surprises, but hinted, "It's going to be a mish-mash of demos by a variety of people: Ken Ladd has some crystal sets that he's been working on, Allen Lein has a new curve tracer, and Del [Schlumberger] sent me some info about adapting 1629s to replace 6E5s and 6U5s".
Admission is free to all current Pavek Museum of Broadcasting and NARC members (and immediate family members). Membership forms will be available for anyone wishing to join the club.
See you there!
