The Northland Antique Radio ClubWORKSHOP at the PAVEK MUSEUMSunday, February 24, 2019, at 12 Noon
Steve Raymer is organizing another of his ever-popular Radio Workshops to be held at the Pavek Museum on February 24 starting at noon and preceded by the usual outdoor swap meet in the parking lot. Steve has been doing this for the club for over 30 years and it is always an enjoyable and educational free event for NARC members and Pavek Museum sponsors. Whether you work on your own radios or not, you'll enjoy the workshop! There will be trunk sales outside in the parking lot before the workshop, weather permitting, so bring whatever you want to sell and bring some cash in case you find something to buy too. Unless it is extremely cold or snowing outside, this is usually a worthwhile swap meet to attend, and it is free!
The museum doors will open at 11 a.m. and snacks, soft drinks and coffee will be provided. The museum will not be offering anything for sale in their back room, but the room will be open to view the radios and other items now being displayed there. The hour before the workshop begins is a great time to browse around the museum and socialize with the other collectors. The workshop starts at 12 noon and includes talks on a variety of topics, so everyone should find it interesting and entertaining.
Some of the presenters will be Steve Raymer, Gary Ball, Bill Williams, Andy Jones, and Matt Hyman. Andy will talk about book binding and would like if attendees would bring books that need repair, so bring a damaged book along! There also will be a Show & Tell similar to what we've done the past couple years, but this year we'd like to see your strangest radio. Bring a radio that has a strange circuit or cabinet design. Everyone enjoys seeing the radios that others have collected, and prizes will be given to the 3 strangest radios. Copyright 2024. All rights reserved. The Northland Antique Radio Club |
