Workshop and Outdoor Swap Meet
The Northland Antique Radio Club invites you to attend our annual radio workshop and outdoor swap!
This is a free event that has been held annually since 1988. The radio swap meet outside in the parking lot, plus an afternoon in the hotel ballroom enjoying presentations related to radio restoration and other topics, always draws a good crowd.
Trunk sales in the parking lot start whenever the first person arrives in the morning and there is no registration or fees required. Just bring whatever radio items you want to sell, maybe a table to display them on, and also some cash in case you find something you want to buy!
The doors to the hotel ballroom open at 11:00 a.m., and the workshop program will start at 12 noon!
Gary Ball has been busy getting this year's workshop presentations lined up and has the following confirmed at the present time:
Larry Tell will explain how to
restore a Radiola III-A battery radio.
Jim Thompson will tell us about the
Sony TR-63 and Toshiba Lace transistor radios.
Bill Williams will show us how to
add Bluetooth to a vintage radio.
Randy Olson will talk about the
History of QSL cards.
John Drewitz will show us how to
weld plastic to repair radio cabinets.
Kip Wallace will share some tips on how to
restore an advertising sign.
Additional workshop topics may be covered, and they will be followed by Show & Tell.
Please bring a radio, or something related to radios, for the Show & Tell following the workshop. Everyone enjoys seeing what others have collected, and prizes will be given to the three voted most popular by the audience.
See you there!
